About

ESG Reporting · GHG Accounting · Net Zero Strategy · San Francisco Bay Area

Senior-level sustainability leader and ESG consultant delivering audit-ready disclosures and decarbonization roadmaps for companies across California, the USA, and Worldwide.

Hi, I’m Kerri

I work at the intersection of environmental science, regulatory compliance, carbon accounting, and audit-ready disclosure. I help organizations translate complex sustainability data into credible reporting systems, practical decarbonization plans, and disclosures that stand up to investor, regulator, and assurance scrutiny.

Before specializing in ESG and climate disclosure, I built my career in field ecology and environmental regulation — tracking endangered species in the field, evaluating 50+ environmental impact assessments, preserving 1,000+ acres of natural resources through negotiated sustainable practices, and managing federal regulatory compliance under the Clean Water Act, ESA, and NEPA.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, I'm focused on senior-level, in-house sustainability and ESG roles, and I take on select ESG and GHG accounting consulting engagements through KS Consulting for companies across California and the US.

Climate Disclosure & CSRD Readiness (Salesforce)

Outcome: Conducted a CSRD and IFRS S1/S2 readiness review of Salesforce's FY2025 sustainability report. Identified 4 critical disclosure gaps: (1) offset reliance misaligned with SBTi Net Zero Standard, (2) climate risk not quantified in financial terms as required under IFRS S1/S2, (3) supplier engagement at only 33% vs. a 60% target, undermining Scope 3 accuracy, and (4) insufficient assurance controls for audit-level reporting.

Tools/Methods: CSRD double materiality review, IFRS S1/S2 alignment check, SBTi Net Zero Standard assessment, gap analysis, executive-ready slide synthesis

Consumer Goods Manufacturer: GHG Inventory & Decarbonization Case Study

Part 1 — GHG Inventory: Built a complete Scope 1-3 GHG inventory for a specialty food manufacturer using activity data and GHG Protocol-aligned emissions factors. Total footprint: 6,721.25 tCO2e. Identified three primary hotspots: purchased agricultural inputs (4,100.27 tCO2e, driven by peanut sourcing), facility electricity (1,220.95 tCO2e), and upstream transportation (853.15 tCO2e). Delivered a three-phase decarbonization roadmap covering renewable electricity procurement, supplier LCA, and logistics optimization.

Part 2 — Data Gap Analysis: Conducted a Scope 1-2 data gap assessment and built a structured Excel data collection template to support inventory intake workflows for similar manufacturing engagements.

Tools/Methods: GHG Protocol, activity-based calculations, eGRID/EPA emissions factors, Google Sheets, Excel, decarbonization strategy

Artifact: Nutty Nirvana GHG Inventory

Atlassian FY25 ESG Gap Analysis

Outcome: Analyzed Atlassian's FY25 Sustainability Report against CSRD, IFRS S1/S2, California climate law (SB 253/261), and ASRS (Australia). Identified 4 critical gaps: (1) California SB 253, SB 261, and AB 1305 not addressed despite significant California operations, (2) AI and data center emissions flagged as a major issue but unquantified, (3) water and biodiversity metrics entirely absent, and (4) no XBRL or digital tagging despite CSRD digital reporting requirements. Noted that Atlassian achieved an 82% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions and 100% renewable electricity, but remains in voluntary-to-regulatory transition.

Tools/Methods: CSRD/ESRS gap assessment, IFRS S1/S2 alignment, California climate law review (SB 253/261, AB 1305), ASRS analysis, SASB Software & IT Services Standard, XBRL digital reporting review

AI-Powered ESG Consulting System | KS Consulting x Claude Code

Outcome: Built a reusable AI-powered consulting delivery system that converts structured client data into polished, browser-based interactive reports. This type of analysis would normally take days or weeks to manually conduct in PowerPoint or Excel.

Tools/Methods: Claude Code, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, CSRD double materiality framework, GHG Protocol, SBTi net zero strategy, decarbonization project modeling, KS Consulting brand system
