Senior-level sustainability leader delivering audit-ready disclosures and decarbonization roadmaps.
I started my career tracking endangered species in the field for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the National Park Service, and the U.S. Forest Service. That scientific foundation is what makes my approach to sustainability different. I understand how ecosystems actually work, which means I also understand what's at stake when the data is wrong.
For the past 10 years, through KS Consulting, I've led GHG accounting and ESG reporting engagements for manufacturing and media clients, delivering 100% on-time, on-budget results across every engagement. My work covers Scope 1-3 inventories, ISSB (IFRS S1/S2), CSRD, TCFD, GRI, SASB, and CDP, with hands-on experience in Workiva, Persefoni, and Watershed. I also have deep experience preparing organizations for California's SB 253 and SB 261 requirements, building audit-ready data systems that hold up under scrutiny.
Earlier in my career, I evaluated 50+ environmental impact assessments at the SF Bay Conservation and Development Commission, negotiated sustainable practices that preserved over 1,000 acres of natural resources, and managed federal regulatory compliance at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers under the Clean Water Act, ESA, and NEPA.
I'm currently open to Senior-level sustainability and ESG roles and select consulting engagements.

Each project follows the same structure: Outcome → Tools/Methods → Artifact.

Outcome: Conducted a CSRD and IFRS S1/S2 readiness review of Salesforce's FY2025 sustainability report. Identified 4 critical disclosure gaps: (1) offset reliance misaligned with SBTi Net Zero Standard, (2) climate risk not quantified in financial terms as required under IFRS S1/S2, (3) supplier engagement at only 33% vs. a 60% target, undermining Scope 3 accuracy, and (4) insufficient assurance controls for audit-level reporting.
Tools/Methods: CSRD double materiality review, IFRS S1/S2 alignment check, SBTi Net Zero Standard assessment, gap analysis, executive-ready slide synthesis

Part 1 — GHG Inventory: Built a complete Scope 1-3 GHG inventory for a specialty food manufacturer using activity data and GHG Protocol-aligned emissions factors. Total footprint: 6,721.25 tCO2e. Identified three primary hotspots: purchased agricultural inputs (4,100.27 tCO2e, driven by peanut sourcing), facility electricity (1,220.95 tCO2e), and upstream transportation (853.15 tCO2e). Delivered a three-phase decarbonization roadmap covering renewable electricity procurement, supplier LCA, and logistics optimization.
Part 2 — Data Gap Analysis: Conducted a Scope 1-2 data gap assessment and built a structured Excel data collection template to support inventory intake workflows for similar manufacturing engagements.
Tools/Methods: GHG Protocol, activity-based calculations, eGRID/EPA emissions factors, Google Sheets, Excel, decarbonization strategy
